Waimea Christmas Parade - December 19, Saturday
Everyone loves a parade! I especially enjoy the Waimea Christmas Parade held in Waimea, on the west side of Kaua'i. And yes, I know this is a "Poipu" blog, but don't forget that I hail from good 'ole "Waimea High School".
Hometown kinda celebrating!! Where everyone knows each other and the community (Waimea) kicks it up an extra notch to celebrate the Christmas season. Beach chairs line the sidewalk or grass or just plain 'ole "red dirt" along Kaumuali'i Hwy in anticipation for the parade. I think the parade is just an excuse to have a big party right along side the main highway (actually it's only a double lane road). Friends yell across the road, urging each other to "Come on over! ". And then there's the parade.... lighted and decorated vehicles of all sorts make their way through Waimea town with cheering and loud music filling the air with the Christmas spirit.
Makai Properties, LLC has an office in Waimea town, along the parade route.
I will at the Waimea Makai office during the parade!! Come by and visit me for complimentary coffee and cookies!! MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

In Escrow
Keeping busy with 4 properties in escrow. Buyers are picking up properties. VA and FHA loans helping local families with home purchases. The extension of the First Time Homebuyer's credit and the expansion of the credit to families replacing their primary residence, provides a cushion for the incidental costs of buying a home.
