Kalaheo Cafe and Coffee Co.  is a favorite restaurant for Kauai locals as well as Kauai visitors.  Of course, if you live on Kauai or visit Kauai regularly, you already know that!     We especially like it because of our relationship with the owners, John and Kris Ferguson. They are hardworking, good people.  Our 25 year old sons have been best friends since kindergarten, so yes, we're a little biased!

I think you'll like this place from the moment you walk in.  My hope is that you'll not only enjoy a delicious meal, but that you'll make some new friends!   Mahalo John and Kris for providing a great place to fill our tummies.  You guys are such a viable asset to the southside community!

Poipu Beach Park Free Movie - August 24, 2012

Looking for a fun family summer activity?  Then check out  "Movies in the Park" at Poipu Beach on  August 24, 2012.   Can't get much better than a movie under the stars at a beachfront setting  with your family and friends.    "Movies in the Park"  is spearheaded  by the Poipu Rotary Club, in conjunction with the County of Kauai and it's many corporate sponsors.   This  FREE Poipu summer evening activity is very popular with the locals and visitors, so make sure you come early. 
 
Movie time: after sunset (about 7:30pmish)

Koloa Elementary School's family and friends will be manning the food booth, so please support them with your food purchases at the event.

Fyi..  Blankets and low seating chairs are requested.

Kauai High School - New Student information for 2012-2013

NEW STUDENT REGISTRATION 2012-2013 * * * * * * * *

NEW STUDENT REGISTRATION - TUESDAY, JULY 10, 2012   8AM-2:45 P.M

ONLY LEGAL PARENTS, CUSTODIAL PARENTS, OR LEGAL GUARDIANS ARE ALLOWED TO REGISTER A NEW STUDENT; NO EXCEPTIONS.

*Are you a legal parent1, Custodial parent2, or legal guardian3 of the Registering New Student(s)?

Legal Parent - name will be on birth certificate that must be submitted for copying.
 2Custodial Parent - legal documents must be submitted to prove physical/legal custody of student in order to register student and add custody stipulations.
3Legal Guardian - A notarized Power of Attorney or Court documents must be presented at time of registration for copying in order to register student.


DO YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING TO REGISTER?    If all items listed are not provided, enrollment will not be completed.  Student will not receive a schedule till necessary items are received by the Registrar's office.

      *  Academic Records/Transcript
                     >  For 10-12th graders it is required to make a schedule.
                     >  For 9th graders proof that middle school, grades 6-8, were completed.
      *  Proof of
PHYSICAL RESIDENCE                     >  Current (within one month) Utilities bill
                           *  (Electric, cable, water) must have a guardians name on the bill.
                           *  If name not on bill, ask for a Statement of Residence Affidavit.
                                    -Affidavit will need to be NOTARIZED, no exceptions.
                                                                  or a                     >  Verifiable Rental contract                           *  Phone call will be made to renter to verify lease agreement.  Must be living in unit.         A HAWAII PRIVATE School, you will need                                                                                      All of the above listed materials plus...      *  Proof of NEGATIVE TB test results                     >  Unless enrolled in a Hawaii Public School prior to enrollment in Private School.      *  Birth Certificate
      *  Health/Immunization record
                     >  Photo copy from previous school is OK.

         > Must be within the last 6-12 months.

Koloa/Poipu real estate statistics

Recent statistics as of August 30, 2010 showed that Koloa real estate ytd number of sales increased by 56.41% for residential properties as compared to August 30, 2009. Condo sales increased by 47.06% and vacant land sales increased by 73.33%.

Ytd median sales prices as of August 30, 2010 , for Koloa residential properties was $477,500, an increase of .53% from last year. Condos $443,000, a decrease of 15.62% from last year, Land $250,000, no change from last year.
